Privacy Policy

Effective: April 17, 2026

Versume ("Versume," "we," "our," or "us") is operated by Terebey Technologies LLC, a company registered in the State of Washington, USA. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email us at terebeytechnologies@gmail.com.

1. What we collect

  • Account data: email address and a password hash (handled by Supabase Auth — we never see your raw password).
  • Resume files you upload (PDF, DOCX, or LaTeX) and the text extracted from them.
  • Job descriptions you paste into the tailoring flow.
  • Tailored output generated by AI based on the above.
  • Tracker entries you create (company, role, status, notes).
  • LaTeX projects you save in the editor.
  • Billing data if you subscribe: handled entirely by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer ID and subscription ID. We never see or store your card number.
  • Bot-protection signals from Cloudflare Turnstile during signup (an opaque token).
  • Error telemetry sent to Sentry when the app crashes. We strip resume text, job descriptions, and LaTeX source from these reports before they leave our servers.

2. How we use your data

  • To operate the service: resume parsing, AI tailoring, storing history, the job tracker.
  • To process payments for Pro subscriptions.
  • To detect and prevent abuse.
  • To debug crashes and improve reliability.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not serve third-party advertising.

3. Subprocessors

We rely on the following third parties to run Versume. Each has their own privacy practices.

4. How long we keep data

We retain your data until you delete it. There is no automatic purge for inactive accounts. You can delete all of your data at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete my account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

5. Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you can:

  • See your data: everything you’ve created is visible in the app.
  • Export your data: Settings → Privacy → Download my data returns a JSON bundle.
  • Delete your data: Settings → Privacy → Delete my account wipes all of it within seconds and cancels any active subscription.

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you additionally have the right to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the rights afforded by the CCPA/CPRA (we do not sell data, so the opt-out-of-sale right is inapplicable). Contact us at terebeytechnologies@gmail.com to exercise any of these.

6. Security

All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Data at rest in Supabase is encrypted by the platform. Access to raw user data is restricted by Postgres row-level security policies and an authenticated API.

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever experience a breach that affects you, we will notify you by email without undue delay.

7. Children

Versume is not intended for children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under 13. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it.

8. Cookies

See our Cookie notice for the full list. In short: we use essential cookies for sign-in and bot protection. We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the Effective date at the top of this page. The latest version is always at versume.co/privacy.
